Croation Foods

just wondering what people think of Croatian food. We recently visited Korcula for a week and Dubrovnic for just one night and came with low expectations re the food as we had read a lot about it being not very good. But i still cant stop thinking about how very good it turned out to be!!

I can still taste the grilled squid and yummy local ham (i cant think of the name -persut maybe?! but i preferred it even to serano and parma) as well as surprising good pasta and gnocci. We were really taken back by the quality of the food we ate in Korcula and even in tourist central Dubrovnic we had nothing but tasty delicous food. Figs with goats cheese were also lovely as well as prawns in brandy.

The choices were a bit limited in Korcula but every place did things a little different and was so impressed.
